Although supervisors and managers play many roles, certainly the role of coach is one of the most important, both for the development of their employees and for the success of their organizations.
Coaching for Excellence is intended to help provide managers and supervisors with the one-on-one coaching, communication, and feedback skills that are crucial for success in today’s rapidly changing, highly competitive business environment.
Coaching for Excellence provides training in the key communication skills needed for establishing and maintaining effective one-on-one coaching relationships, while providing participants with the opportunity to practice those key skills in several actual coaching conversations, ranging from coaching for successful performance through dealing with lack of improvement.
Skill Practice. Each coaching module is designed to provide participants with extensive hands-on coaching practice and feedback. Each of several coaching conversations is discussed in detail, then participants practice each conversation in a simulated coaching session, using their own real-world case studies and experiences. Finally, participants give and receive feedback on the skills they have used during the practice session. Through this process, participants not only come to understand various coaching strategies but also practice and receive feedback on their management of a variety of coaching conversations.
